  • Raising morale.

Posted on June 5th, 2009 Tommy No comments

It’s time. If you check out the news from Wall Street, you’ll see that we may just well be slowly heading out of these dark economic times, with all the stocks that matter climbing and climbing, peaking out at nearly 70% of their former glory. Companies nationwide are beginning to hire again, and maybe, just maybe we should start to feel secure once more. I, personally, am stoked…and you should be, too. Even stoked enough to get out there and spend some dough.

It’s good to go out and spend some money on yourself every now and then, especially now, when you’re smart to be a little wary to. We all know that the economy has been shaky to say the least. Most of us have seen tough times, some more than others…but that’s no reason to stay in all the time, watch TV and let cabin fever just continue through to summer months.

We see trouble on the economic front and have a very justified reaction: scale back, clam up and stay inside. Little do we realize that we’re not only harming ourselves, but the community at large and the economy as well.

You see, it’s right now that the economy needs you. Get out of the house this weekend. Go take in a lunch special and a matinée. Get some ice cream with the kids. Maybe even that new all-day buffet you’ve wanted to try. With the economy taking this upswing, it’s really the least we can do to take responsibility, and action, to help things along.

Because, when you get out and about and have fun, it feels good. It raises our morale as people and citizens, and it also lets businesses know that we’re taking note of the upward trending and we like what we see. It shows that we feel just that minute amount more secure, and in turn businesses feel more secure, and things take that one small step back towards a normal balance.

Hope to see you all hanging out this weekend! Go on and use the comments below to let us know what your plans are!
